Product Information
This is a working Karoo sheep and cattle farm, with a family history dating back to 1838, when their ancestors first settled here. The fifth generation is still living and working on the farm. This same family offers a taste into farm living in historic surroundings in comfortable lodgings – the “Main Guesthouse” and the “Foremans House”.There is an interesting and noteworthy museum in the original farm house adjacent to the present modern buildings, with original items from their ancestors displayed authentically.
The Main guest house is furnished with many of the original sets. The wood stove in the kitchen still works, although an electric is provided. Everything you would need for a farm holiday is provided for in a relaxed environment. Self-catering and traditional Karoo meals by arrangement.
Foremans House
The Foremans House is adjacent to the main guest house butcompletely private. The styling is more suitable for groups sharing thefacilities, or for groups of children.Self catering facilities and traditional Karoo meals by arrangement with management.
The Herdsmen
The Herdsmen Shelter is a small and completely private small cave,situated about 1,5km from the main house. Everything is provided likebedding, lighting, braai equipment, mattress and bedding.This is an ideal spot for newlyweds!
